Things that are pink

Image
My collection will be about pink things. I like that colour and Usama looks nice in pink. I want to look at roses and turkish delight. And make natural dyes from hibiscus and beetroot and also I want to learn if i can use code to make this blog page nicer, change the layout. I find this a bit clunky. It does the job but i want to learn to make my own. Usama said HTML is for basic websites. Im tired. Bye oki Im back (9.07am on the next day) My sketchbook pages in reverse order New post for my pinterest inspo, I can't format images the way i want on here........ ugh

Feeling stuck

Image
I hate being on my period. I feel a bit bored and stuck with my current sketchbook. So I guess that's a sign to start a different project ahha and then I can flit between 2 projects. For the next project I will use the theme of collections. "Collections" is a project that i think is used for the Insights programme. I did do it but I can't remember. And I chucked most of my work from that time bc the house was messy and I hate having too much stuff. Even though I do have too much stuff. Colllection of what? Looking in my gallerry I have lots of pictures of nature: plants, mushrooms, flowers, my allotment. I collected these 4 different leaves. I could use that as a starting point. I'm also thinking of that artist - Andy Goldsworthy who creates sculptures in nature that don't stay forever.  As my foundation tutor would have said it shows the "effervescence of life" or something like that. I think that was his favourite word.  idk or should I look at al...

I wasn't serious enough bahahaha

So.... its been a while since I have updated this. And a while since i have drawn anything in my skecthbook as well..... I'm not sure I even know where it is! Lemme go find that and come back.  Oki I found it.  I was volunteering at Thrive yesterday. I think I want to do a creative project about mental health and gardening and also textiles . They have plants there like woad, Cotton and Flax that can be used for textiles. The clients there all have different abilities so it would be great to try and run textile projects and think about how it can be accessible to enable everyone to enjoy them. I think I want to work with people who are differently abled; for some reason I feel safe and able to be myself there although I know that there can also be challenging times woring with such a diverse group.   I drew a mushroom from the new forest and then some circle embroidery by Loiuse Bourgeious. And also thought og my nanu smoothing henna into cricles on my hands.  ...

Getting serious with my sketchbook.

Image
So Getting serious with my sketchbook. I want to. But it's hard to get off my phone. Currently I'm videocalling my boyfriend on whatsapp on this laptop while hes working. I made some natural dyes. with acorns I  foraged in highgate woods.   I really like the shape of acorns and the texture, it was fun picking them from the ground, some were broken open maybe by squirrels and some were half rotten. It was raining a lot that day, but I saw loads of mushrooms as well( and I made sure to touch them all and squish! I love the textures)   This looks like turkey tail. Rings fo green and brown.
